• This is your explanation as to why River didn’t regenerate in the Library, time lady/time child/half-human-half-time-lord or not. If she was able to regenerate, both of her hearts would have been fried (not to mention her consciousness) and she would have been unable to regenerate.

• This also explains how we knew who River was the moment we met her. She gave us a spoiler, although we didn’t know it yet.

gah i never read that much into that line!  You are so right!  She did give away that she is more than human there!  See this is what I mean when I say Moffat picks every word meticulously!  This is why I pick through transcripts of River episodes!  I should get back to that…
